For a long time we agreed, that a major family trip was over due. Many destinations have been talked about, checked out and discarded again. I cannot tell you how we ended up with Marrakech. All of a sudden we had a common denominator and so we went right ahead and scheduled this trip for the first week of June 2007.

We, that is my self, my wife Tammy and our 20 year old daughter Jessica with her nice boyfriend Kevin. Our sons Alex and David decided not to come with us and stayed home with my ex in Germany.

My wife Tammy can take the credit of finding us a nice and well priced Riad in the middle of Marrakech's Medina. Despite the lack of English speaking people and our lack of French vocabulary, she managed to book for us a great temporary residence and all the pick-up and drop-off chores from and to the airport worked out perfectly fine.
