Essaouria

The fishing town of Essaouria is a quaint and peaceful coastal town on the central Morocco Atlantic coast. Scores of white washed little houses with blue shutters sit decoratively around Essaourias ancient, but still working fishing harbor. Hundreds of blue fishing boats are bobbing on the water. The traditional ship yards still manufacture the wooden boats like they did for hundreds of years.

The picturesque town is home to a large group of international artists and artisans who open shop in the Souk. Not only was Essaouria a main getaways in the late 60th and early 70th for Hippies and celebrities, but also is it a world favourite for the wind surfers. The beaches of Essaouria are beautiful.
